new york:

london:

(images via fashionologie)

while i wasn't really diggin' the runway looks of
NYFW fall 2012, i am feeling these gals
prancing around the city from show to show
in some good looking threads.

one of my favorite trends right now is
tailored pants with a bright color
and/or bold print.
i've gotten 2 great pairs from the
well-priced
british store asos, as well as a more
expensive pair i just got by rag and bone.
in complete contrast, i'm also loving the wide,
pajama-inspired flowy pants.
i have a pair from topshop that i picked up
in london two summers ago, and i just
invested in a new pair from
robert rodriguez that i cannot wait to frolic around in.

kelly wearstler is one of my all time fave designers.
she's a badass lay-day with a keen eye for intricate patterns,
rustic hardware, and a serious talent for interior design.
her blog is filled with visually pleasing pictures
that i can look at for dayzzz.

these pictures show pieces being used in
her new spring window displays
for her boutique on melrose, which i'm dyyying to visit.
not only do i love her clothes and style,
but i'd love to furnish my apartment
with all of her interior design pieces!!!

heaven on earth

the very first trip i took when i was a baby
was to puerto vallarta, mexico. my mother had
been vacationing there since she was 17,
and when i was 17 i ventured down to PV
on spring break with my best friend
and something magical happened...
i met my love, who i've been with
for almost 5 years now.

i have been lucky enough to be able
to travel quite a bit in my 22 years,
and have been to some incredibly amazing
destinations, but puerto vallarta
will always hold a special place
in my heart, for many reasons.

these pictures were taken over my
christmas break this year,
and while my family always
stays at the same house year after year,
we decided to branch out and stay
in a new location for this particular trip.
the town is called punta mita, and it is
about 45 minutes north of downtown PV.

i took so many pictures, but these
were a few of my favorite.
all i can think about now
is tequila, sunshine and the smell of
coconut oil.

i like food

recently, my boyfriend and i
decided to eat a mostly vegetarian diet.
with the exception of some seafood,
we stuck with being vegetarian for
about four months.

as of now,
we've been eating meat again,
but not very much at all.
we've both found that eating a mostly
vegetarian diet makes us feel better
and gives us more energy.

i love to cook, and lately when i do,
its always vegetarian or involves
some kind of fish.
last week i wanted to tackle a new dish...
lasagna.
i was scared because i've heard
of how hard it can be,
but let me tell ya it was E-A-S-Y shit.
i used this recipe, and added a few things
of my own like cherry tomatoes, zucchini,
eggplant and goat cheese.
it turned out SO WELL
except that there was way too much for me and
boyfriend to devour.
i can't wait to try cooking more
things that have intimidated me in the past....

just....

crystal castle

when i was a little girl,
i loved collecting geodes and pretty rocks,
and i've always had a fascination with
all things shiny && sparkly.
This cave in Mexico named

Cueva de los Cristales
or cave of crystals,
sparked my interest so much the first time
i came across it, and i've never been able
to get it out of my head.
some of these crystals grow to 36 feet long,
and romping around in this cave would be
such a mind fuck.
only thing is,
i am extremely claustrophobic
and this cave was formed due to its
nice and toasty temperature
of 136 degrees.
so for now, i'll visit this place in my mind.

fashion bleak

fashion week:fall 2012....
oh sorry i almost fell asleep
posting this due to the boring-ness
of these clothes.
maybe i'm just missing bright colors and
any sort of shape, but honestly
almost every look book i just wasted my time flipping
though made me more sleepy
and depressed than the next...
blah.

i see you baby

(via mr. newton & stockholm streetstyle)

i hate the question "describe your style"
because one day i'm feeling pink and girly
and days like today i like to add a little
punk rock into my outfit.
in one word, i'd describe my steez as
classic.
i love all of these pieces above because
they come off as simple, effortless and elegant.
over all, i always like to be comfortable,
and i tend to stay away from crazy trends.
now i have an itch to shop.
shit.
